A PNWF Update: Regarding COVID-19 and our events

Dear PNWF Family, Friends and Supporters,

The Pittsburgh New Works Festival, like the rest of the theater community and the population in general, are adhering to the guidelines and directives issued concerning COVID-19.

We wanted to update you on what’s going on in our world.

We have cancelled the April 6th and May 4th readings originally scheduled at the Higher Voice Studio.

For the present, we have postponed the April 19th Fundraiser at Bricolage and will keep you posted on when that can be rescheduled.

The good news is that we are proceeding with the 2020 Pittsburgh New Works Festival!   We are finalizing the contract for this year’s festival at Duquesne University’s Genesius Theater and are pursuing a Gala location to celebrate our 30th anniversary.

And if you ever thought about writing a play, make this the year you submit to PNWF! We have extended our submission deadline from April 4th to April 15th at 11:59 P.M.

We hope that you all remain healthy, and we hope to see you in the not-too-distant future at theater events.  Instead of communicating via email, phone or from a 6-foot distance, it will be great to greet all of our friends and theater family with a big hug!

Take care all.

On behalf of the Pittsburgh New Works’ Board of Directors,

Claire DeMarco, President
